COMMON SAINTS
"Struggles"

Common Saints is a one-hour dramatic series created and written by Albin Sadar, produced by David Tang and directed by Jeffrey Pohorski. It is an offbeat, modern day look at an urban church in action. The Mercy Ministry team enters their diverse community at ground level. The Christian life is seen as an adventure, that shows the struggles within the church, community and their own brokenness while bringing the message of Christ to the city.

Common Saints appeals to a wide ranging audience between the ages of 18-49. More strategically, the series taps into a largely ignored segment of TV viewers: Christians. They thirst for programming that illustrates authentic stories of people struggling and succeeding in their faith. Recently, the mini-series "Jesus" beat out the highly rated "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" during May 2002 ratings sweeps. "Joan of Arcadia" achieved high ratings for the entire 2003-04 season.

The networks will be the first in line as religious and family programming becomes more popular. We feel Common Saints has a chance to fill this burgeoning need. Another advantage we have is by filming in wide-screen format we won't be caught with our pants down when the HDTV 16:9 revolution hits mainstream television sets. Our pilot and series will have a longer shelf life and decided advantage over other productions using the standard 4:3 format that current television sets employ.

Common Saints is about people of faith living out their lives in honest and redemptive ways.
