SKUNKFILMS has garnered nine Telly Awards. SKUNKFILMS founder Jeffrey Pohorski has directed and edited projects for PBS, World Vision, InterVarsity, History Alive! and Habitat for Humanity. He has also served as a director of photography for The History Channel, A&E, Fox Television, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, motion pictures and music videos.

A graduate of San Jose State University, Jeffrey first worked as a photojournalist, crafting photo essays for newspapers and magazines. Wanting to expand the scope of his images in order to reach a broader audience, Jeffrey eventually joined 2100 Productions, where he began shooting documentaries and the occasional drama. Though he started to produce and edit these videos, he eventually became production manager at 2100. Still, his desire to tell stories was not being fully realized. So, he left 2100 Productions to attend Vancouver [Canada] Film School to learn specific film industry skills and develop a network in dramatic films. After moving back to the U.S. in 1997, Jeffrey launched his own production company, SKUNKFILMS, Inc.

SKUNKFILMS produces it's own projects and assists other production companies. Through SKUNKFILMS, founder Jeffrey Pohorski offers clients of all types his award-winning skills and experiences in producing, writing, directing, editing and shooting documentaries, dramas and corporate/commercial projects.

SKUNKFILMS' goal is to produce stories that need to be told but can't because of limited money or the limited imagination of another producer. Those stories have a purpose beyond entertainment, though they accomplish that as well.

Once each quality project is "in the can," SKUNKFILMS delivers it to the marketplace! It reaches its intended audience, rather than sitting on a shelf gathering dust, which defeats its catalytic purpose. Because "We don't live on an island, we interact with the world!", ensuring effective distribution is a key part of SKUNKFILMS' service!

As you can see from our our track record, SKUNKFILMS "produces" in many realms and ways, always bringing the best out of each story that we dig up and communicating it to others. We proudly offer production values and skills of an entirely unique and better "stripe."
